On January 27, 2017, President Trump signed an executive order that indefinitely suspended the resettlement of Syrian refugees, paused the overall refugee resettlement program, and temporarily bared non-citizens from seven majority-Muslim nations from entering the United States. By weaving the lives of three fathers from the Congo, Syria and the United States, Valley of the Children seeks to find commonality through their children's struggles with the past and finding home -- when they are caught between two worlds.
