Memphis has a housing crisis on its hands. The city is currently down 30,000 affordable housing units and meeting that demand seems insurmountable under the backdrop of austerity and gentrification. In several neighborhoods throughout the city though there is a glimmer of hope. Groundbreaking and innovative public private partnerships are driving the city towards a more equitable housing future. This series takes the viewer into a glimpse of four major construction sites that help to close the gap in affordable housing.
